Remote Access & VPN Setup

Work from home or on the road and still reach your office files and systems safely — like you’re sitting at your shop desk, without exposing your whole network to the internet.

In plain English

A VPN is a private tunnel between your laptop/phone and your office network. Only people with the right key can enter. You can open shared folders, use your business app, or check the office PC — without leaving your data wide open to hackers or random port scanners.

What you get when we’re done

  • One-tap or one-click connect from home (WireGuard app or similar)
  • Access only what you need — not the whole internet through your office
  • Separate access for owner vs staff if required
  • Peace of mind: no “remote desktop open to the world” mistakes
  • Written steps to connect on Android, iPhone, Windows, or Mac

What I set up for your business

  • VPN server at your office (often on the same machine as file server)
  • WireGuard or OpenVPN — modern, fast, and well-supported
  • Router configuration so the tunnel works with your ISP
  • Keys or accounts per person (easy to revoke if someone leaves)
  • Firewall rules so only VPN users reach internal systems
  • Test from mobile data (not just office Wi‑Fi) to prove it works outside

What to expect (visit & timeline)

1
Check your network — What router? What do you need to reach remotely (files, CCTV, accounting PC)?
2
Setup day — Usually same day or next day after file server / web server is in place (3–6 hours).
3
Your test drive — You connect from home while we’re on the phone; I confirm you see the right folders.
Good fit if you… Check stock at night, approve documents from home, or manage a branch while traveling — and you’re tired of USB drives or unsafe “team viewer left on 24/7” setups.

You will need

Office internet with a stable connection, a router I can configure (or we upgrade if it’s too limited), and at least one internal system worth reaching (file server, desktop, or business app). Works best after file server or local system is already running.

Let me know how many people need remote access and what devices they use (iPhone, Android, laptop).
