File Server & Private Cloud

Your own Nextcloud or Samba file server — share and access files from anywhere. Like Google Drive but private and yours forever.

In plain English

Instead of paying monthly for cloud storage or worrying who can see your files, you get a shared folder system for your team. Save contracts, photos, Excel files, and PDFs in one place. Access them from office computers, laptops, and phones — without sending everything through Facebook Messenger.

What you get when we’re done

  • A central place for all business files (organized folders you understand)
  • Staff can open and save files without USB sticks or random email attachments
  • Optional phone app or browser login to grab files from home
  • Control over who sees which folders (owner vs staff)
  • No per-user monthly fee to Google, Dropbox, or Microsoft

What I set up for your business

  • Storage device (NAS box or server PC) with enough space for your files
  • Nextcloud or shared network folders (Samba) — easy for Windows/Mac
  • User accounts for each person who needs access
  • Automatic copies of important folders so one deleted file isn’t a disaster
  • Connection to your office Wi‑Fi / LAN so it’s fast inside the shop
  • Safe remote access only if you want it (paired with VPN service if needed)

What to expect (visit & timeline)

1
Plan storage size — How many years of receipts, photos, and documents? Usually 2–4 TB is plenty for small business.
2
On-site install — I mount the device, connect cables, and test from your actual computers (half day to 1 day).
3
Training — Short demo: save a file, share a folder, recover a deleted file.
Good fit if you… Have multiple staff touching the same Excel files, a printing shop with large artwork, a law/accounting office with client folders, or any team tired of “send me the latest version.”

You will need

A safe spot for the storage device (not in direct heat or where it gets kicked), stable power, and your office network. I’ll quote hardware clearly — NAS units start around the cost of a few months of cloud subscriptions.

Tell me how many people need access and roughly how much data you have (or “starting fresh”).
