Local Business System
Inventory, POS, booking, or HR systems on your own server — no SaaS subscriptions. Built for how your team actually works.
In plain English
Many shops use notebooks, Messenger, or random Excel files. I build or install a system that fits how you actually work: track stock, log sales, manage appointments, or keep customer records. It runs on your own server, so when the internet drops, your shop can often keep working on the local network.
What you get when we’re done
- A system matched to your workflow (not a generic app you have to bend around)
- Screens your staff can learn in a day or two
- Reports you care about — daily sales, low stock, who booked today
- Your data stored locally, with backups
- No surprise price increases from a foreign subscription
What I set up for your business
- Server or PC at your location running the application and database
- Custom web app, or configured open-source tools (inventory, POS, booking, etc.)
- Separate logins for owner, cashier, or admin roles
- Printer or receipt setup if you need it
- Nightly backups of your business data
- Documentation and support for small changes after launch
What to expect (visit & timeline)
1
Discovery — I watch how you work today: paper? Excel? Existing POS? We list must-have features.
2
Build & test — Simple systems: about 1–2 weeks. Bigger custom builds: we agree on phases and price per phase.
3
Go-live — I install on-site, import your existing data if possible, and stay for the first busy day if you want.
Examples
Small retail inventory + daily sales log · Salon appointment book · Catering order tracker · Workshop job tickets · Simple membership database.
You will need
Clear answers on what problem we’re solving (e.g. “I don’t know what’s left in the stockroom”). Willingness to try the new process for at least two weeks. Budget for hardware if you don’t already have a server — we’ll keep it realistic for small business.
Describe your business and what you track today (even if it’s messy). A photo of your notebook or Excel sheet helps.
